“Every single body deserves to feel welcome and worthy of their goals. Build. Your. Own. Body.”
For as long as she can remember, Amy has been passionate about sports and exercise. They have always been a major part of her life and have driven many of her life decisions. In 2014 she graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, the study of the human body and movement, and began her career in personal training right away.
She started at Spa Lady, a women’s-only gym, where she spent two and a half years and discovered her passion for rehab and corrective exercise. Since 2017 she has built a business of her own, B.Y.O.B. Fitness (Build Your Own Body), and brings that inclusive, individualized approach to every client at Aim Fitness.
“I work to create an inclusive environment for every single body to feel welcome, and to feel worthy of their individual goals. I truly believe that every person and goal should be valued and accepted without judgment.”
It’s incredible how Amy has complete confidence in her clients’ abilities and knows how to push you just that little bit further, always emphasizing movement and proper technique. Every workout is challenging and fun. It has been a while since I’ve felt this confident in a gym environment, and the progress I’ve made in just a few months is amazing.
Amy is the reason I keep working out. She makes fantastic workouts that are challenging and fun, and without you even realizing it you become so much stronger, healthier and happier. She is amazingly kind, passionate, and truly cares about the people she trains. No matter your goals, she can design a great program for you.
